TallyUp Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 13, 2026
The Short Version
TallyUp is built to make game night smooth. We do not sell or share your personal data with third-party advertisers.
To keep your game history and groups synchronized across your devices, we store your game records securely on our servers. Accounts are managed securely using Google Account syncing powered by Firebase Authentication.
What Data We Collect & Store
TallyUp collects and stores only the data necessary to sync and back up your game stats:
- Account Profile Data: When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your email address, name, and profile picture URL. This is used to map your account and identify you across devices.
- Game & Group Data: Groups, player rosters, match outcomes, scorecards, round logs, and game statistics are stored securely on our database.
- App Preferences: Your in-app settings (like dark mode preference) are stored locally and synced.
This data is used solely to provide the synchronization and backup features of the app. It is never sold to brokers or shared with advertisers.
Third-Party Services
We utilize Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to facilitate secure Google Sign-In and session management. Firebase processes your authentication credentials in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
Data Deletion & Retention
You retain full control over your synced data. If you wish to wipe your records:
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account and wipe all associated game stats, profile data, and history permanently from our database via the Delete Account page.
- Local Cache: Uninstalling the app clears any cached copies of the scorecards from your local device storage.
Security
We implement industry-standard database encryption and secure TLS communication protocols to protect your game history and account information from unauthorized access.
Children’s Privacy
TallyUp is a general-audience app. We do not knowingly target or collect data from children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top. Major updates affecting how your data is stored or handled will be communicated clearly in-app.
