Can’t Access Your Account?

Guide Updated: August 30, 2025

If you can’t sign in, the quickest fix is to reset your password using a 6‑digit email code. Please note: changing your password resets your end‑to‑end encrypted (E2EE) chat keys, which means old private chats will no longer be readable.

Reset Your Password (6‑Digit Code)

  1. Go to the login page and click Forgot Password (direct link: /forgot-password.php).
  2. Enter your username or email address.
  3. Check your inbox for a message from donotreply@skivecore.com with a 6‑digit code.
  4. Enter the code on the reset screen, then choose a new password.
  5. Sign in with your new password.

Tip: If the code email doesn’t arrive, see the troubleshooting section below.

Important: Encrypted Chats After a Reset

SkiveCore protects private, one‑to‑one chats with end‑to‑end encryption (E2EE). When you change your password, your encryption keys are rotated for safety. As a result:

  • Old E2EE messages become unreadable after a password reset.
  • New messages sent after you sign in with the new password will work normally.

Didn’t Receive the Code Email?

  • Wait a minute or two; some providers delay new mail briefly.
  • Check Spam/Junk/Promotions folders.
  • Search your inbox for donotreply@skivecore.com.
  • Make sure you typed your username or email correctly.
  • Try the Resend code option if available.

Other Common Situations

  • No access to your email? Contact our team so we can advise on options: support@skivecore.com.
  • Lost your 2FA device? See this page and contact support for recovery guidance.
  • Code not working? Ensure you’re entering the most recent email code and that there are no spaces before/after it.

After You’re Back In

  • Consider enabling extra login protection (Push + TOTP).
  • Review how we protect your data and privacy.
