Can’t Access Your Account?
Guide Updated: August 30, 2025
If you can’t sign in, the quickest fix is to reset your password using a 6‑digit email code. Please note: changing your password resets your end‑to‑end encrypted (E2EE) chat keys, which means old private chats will no longer be readable.
Reset Your Password (6‑Digit Code)
- Go to the login page and click Forgot Password (direct link: /forgot-password.php).
- Enter your username or email address.
- Check your inbox for a message from donotreply@skivecore.com with a 6‑digit code.
- Enter the code on the reset screen, then choose a new password.
- Sign in with your new password.
Tip: If the code email doesn’t arrive, see the troubleshooting section below.
Important: Encrypted Chats After a Reset
SkiveCore protects private, one‑to‑one chats with end‑to‑end encryption (E2EE). When you change your password, your encryption keys are rotated for safety. As a result:
- Old E2EE messages become unreadable after a password reset.
- New messages sent after you sign in with the new password will work normally.
Didn’t Receive the Code Email?
- Wait a minute or two; some providers delay new mail briefly.
- Check Spam/Junk/Promotions folders.
- Search your inbox for donotreply@skivecore.com.
- Make sure you typed your username or email correctly.
- Try the Resend code option if available.
