About SkiveCore

A Saint Louis Story
SkiveCore was founded in 2015 in Saint Louis, Missouri when our founder was still in high school. It started as a side project while learning to code—long nights, cheap pizza, and a stubborn belief that the internet should feel more open, not less.
Ideas were tested and tossed. Friends came and went. Some prototypes were scrappy. Some were broken. All of it taught us what mattered: free speech, freedom of expression, user choice over censorship, and a social space where people can build, debate, and have fun without being treated like the product.
Picking Ourselves Up by the Bootstraps
We bootstrapped for years—one feature at a time, one contributor at a time. No giant burn. No shortcuts. Just incremental progress, Saint Louis grit, and a deep respect for American values: straightforward work, honest tradeoffs, and individual liberty.
- Early days: Learning fast. Shipping small. Rewriting often.
- Growing up: Hardening the core and stress‑testing ideas with early friends and local makers.
- Privacy push: Better security, encryption, and user‑controlled feeds.
- Modern rebuild: New tools, same beliefs—the vision can finally be a reality.
We’re still a small team—but we’re a determined one. If you want a platform where lawful speech can breathe and communities can self‑organize, you’re in the right place.
What We Stand For
- Free Speech & Expression: Lawful ideas deserve oxygen. Debate is healthy. Disagreement is allowed.
- Non‑Censorship: We do not remove content merely for being unpopular or “distasteful.” We step in when it’s illegal or required by law.
- User Choice First: Mute and block are powerful tools. Your feed should reflect your choices.
- Privacy by Design: End‑to‑end encryption for direct messages; data minimization where possible.
- Saint Louis & American Principles: Build useful things. Treat people fairly. Let communities thrive.
We want users, creators, and companies to show their values and have fun doing it.
Where We’re Headed
Recently we brought SkiveCore into the modern light—new infrastructure, new tooling, and the same core beliefs. We’re building steadily and publicly, improving guardrails, and doubling down on speech and privacy.

Tell Us Your Story
We’re shaped by our community. A few questions we care about:
- What conversations do you feel can’t happen elsewhere?
- What tools would help you build your audience and still feel safe?
- How should feeds balance discovery with user control?
- Where do you want stronger privacy or clearer choices?
