Community Safety Rules

Guide Updated: August 30, 2025

SkiveCore is a place for open, adult conversation and creativity. We balance strong free‑expression values with clear safety rules and legal requirements. The platform is 16+; explicit adult content must be behind 18+ settings. Private one‑to‑one chats are end‑to‑end encrypted (E2EE) and not visible to SkiveCore.

Be Respectful, Act Lawfully

  • No illegal content or activity: This includes child sexual abuse/exploitation (CSAE/CSAM), credible threats, terrorism recruitment, trafficking, fraud, and other criminal facilitation.
  • No non‑consensual sexual content (NCII): “Revenge porn” or similar exploitation is prohibited.
  • No doxxing to enable harm: Do not share non‑public personal data with the intent to harass or endanger.
  • No targeted harassment or incitement to violence: Argue ideas, not identities. Threats and direct calls for violence are not allowed.
  • Adult content → 18+ only: Explicit sexual content must be labeled and placed behind 18+ settings. Absolutely no depictions sexualizing minors.
  • Impersonation and scams: Don’t mislead users about who you are. No phishing, malware, or spam floods.

Lawful But Distasteful Content

We do not remove content merely because it is distasteful or unpopular. If it is lawful, it generally stands. Use personal controls to curate your experience.

  • Mute/Block: Prefer user tools over demands for takedowns of lawful speech.
  • Adult discourse: As a 16+ platform, we expect maturity when encountering competing opinions.

For our broader philosophy and adult‑content rules, see Content Guidelines.

Private Chats (E2EE)

  • We cannot see private chats: One‑to‑one messages are end‑to‑end encrypted. You cannot report those messages to us for review.
  • If abuse occurs in chat: Use Mute or Block. For illegal behavior, export/download the chat or take clear screenshots and report to local authorities.

Adult Content and Age Rules

  • 16+ to use SkiveCore: Accounts must meet our minimum age requirement.
  • 18+ labels: Explicit sexual content must be placed behind 18+ settings and comply with applicable law.
  • Absolutely no minors: Any sexual content involving minors, or sexualization of minors, is strictly prohibited and reported.

Reporting Harmful Public Content

For blogs, comments, videos, and posts that may be illegal or violate these rules:

  1. Open the item and use the Report option.
  2. Select the most accurate reason and add context (links, timestamps).
  3. Our team reviews public content reports for legal violations.

Safety Tools and Ranking

  • User controls first: Mute and Block are your first line of control.
  • Aurora signals: Our “Aurora” system may raise or lower content in discovery surfaces based on user feedback signals. This is not removal and not shadow‑banning; lawful content remains accessible.
  • See Content Guidelines for how Aurora uses a 0–1 score from reactions, follows, hides, and other signals.

Enforcement and Appeals

  • Actions: We remove unlawful public content and may restrict accounts for severe or repeated violations.
  • No shadow bans: We do not secretly suppress lawful speech.
  • Appeals: If you believe we made an error, contact support@skivecore.com.

Emergencies

SkiveCore is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services right away. For illegal behavior in private chat, preserve evidence and report to authorities.
