Child Safety Standards & Reporting Guide

Our Commitment to Safety

SkiveCore maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy towards child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSAE), grooming, solicitation, or any behavior that harms or endangers minors. Protecting minors is a non-negotiable imperative across our platform.

Minimum Age Requirement (16+)

SkiveCore is exclusively intended for users aged 16 years and older. We do not knowingly permit account creation by individuals under the age of 16. If we become aware that an account belongs to anyone under 16, that account will be immediately terminated and its records purged in accordance with our safety policies.

Strictly Prohibited Content & Behavior

The following activities and materials are strictly prohibited across all areas of SkiveCore:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) / CSAE: Any depiction, generation, or distribution of child sexual abuse or exploitation.
  • Grooming, Exploitation & Solicitation: Any attempt to contact, groom, solicit, exploit, or endanger a minor.
  • Harmful Content Targeting Minors: Content promoting self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous activities, or severe bullying directed at minors.
  • Sharing Non-Consensual or Private Material: Distributing private personal data, contact details, or images of minors.

Public Surfaces: Active Moderation & Enforcement

We actively monitor, review, and enforce community safety rules across all public-facing areas of SkiveCore:

  • Public Boards & Posts: Content published to public feeds, timelines, and discovery streams.
  • Videos & Media: Public video uploads, thumbnails, descriptions, and video comments.
  • Blogs & Discussions: Public blog articles, long-form posts, and user comments.
  • Search Engine & Tagging: Terms, indices, and metadata surfaced through SkiveCore search.
  • User Profiles: Display names, profile bios, avatars, and banner images.

When harmful content or behavior involving minors is identified or reported in these public surfaces, we take immediate action: the content is removed immediately, the account is permanently banned, and we promptly file mandatory reports with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement agencies.

Private Chats (E2EE): Zero Server Access & Moderation Non-Intervention

Direct, one-on-one conversations on SkiveCore are protected by End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) using libsodium cryptography. This architectural design creates an absolute boundary:

  • We have no access to messages under any circumstances: Decryption keys are stored strictly on users' personal devices. SkiveCore servers never possess private decryption keys, never store plaintext messages, and are mathematically incapable of decrypting, reading, scanning, or intercepting your private conversations.
  • Moderation does not and will not go there: Because messages are strictly private and mathematically inaccessible, our moderation team cannot, does not, and will not monitor, inspect, or police private chats. Even if a user downloads a chat export, platform moderation will not review private chat transcripts.
  • Private chats belong entirely to participants: We do not eavesdrop, surveil, or insert platform staff into personal communications.

Critical Safety Notice: Handling Suspected Child Exploitation Material

1. Do Not Export, Copy, or Download Suspected CSAM — Contact Law Enforcement/NCMEC:
Do not download, copy, save, forward, upload, or otherwise redistribute suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Do not use the chat export feature on your own, and do not download the media itself. Because SkiveCore chat exports automatically package and decrypt all media attachments into the downloadable archive, exporting will write copies of that material onto your device storage. Preserve the device and conversation in its current state without exporting or creating new copies, and promptly contact law enforcement or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) for instructions on how to proceed.

2. Do Not Upload or Send Chat Exports to SkiveCore Moderation:
Do not attempt to upload, email, or send downloaded chat archives, transcripts, or media attachments to SkiveCore support or moderation. SkiveCore moderation does not monitor, review, or arbitrate private direct messages under any circumstances, and platform staff cannot accept or review private chat evidence. Any evidence of suspected child exploitation must be directed exclusively to sworn law enforcement officials or NCMEC.

If Child Harm or Exploitation Occurs in Private Chat: Go Directly to Law Enforcement (LEO)

Because SkiveCore servers cannot see or moderate private messages, any criminal solicitation, grooming, CSAM distribution, or threat against a minor occurring in private chat must be reported directly to law enforcement authorities (LEO). Do not rely on platform moderation to handle criminal acts in private chat.

Steps to Take Immediately:

  1. Contact Law Enforcement (LEO) Immediately:
    • Report the incident to your local police department, county sheriff, or state investigative bureau.
    • Submit an immediate CyberTipline report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) at report.cybertip.org or call 1-800-843-5678 (1-800-THE-LOST).
    • Contact the FBI's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) or international equivalents (e.g., Europol, Interpol).
  2. Preserve the Device in Its Current State & Inform Investigators:
    • Do not export the chat or create copies on your own. Inform the responding investigator that SkiveCore provides an in-app "Export Verified Transcript" feature that can package an unalterable .zip archive with continuous SHA-256 hash chains, server Ed25519 digital seals, and media checksums.
    • Let trained law enforcement technicians determine whether and how to perform the forensic export directly on the device under official chain-of-custody protocols.
    • Remember: Never upload or send chat archives to SkiveCore moderation or third parties.
  3. Block the Offender to Protect the Minor:
    • After consulting with LEO, select Block in the conversation options to immediately and permanently terminate all communication with the suspect account.

How to Report Public Content Concerns

If you encounter content or behavior on public surfaces (posts, blogs, videos, comments, search) that violates these child safety standards:

  • Use the in-app Report or Flag button directly on the post, comment, or video.

Include links to the public content, usernames involved, and timestamps. Public content reports involving minors are escalated immediately with highest priority.
